When should I book my senior session?

Most seniors book during the spring of their junior year or early summer before senior year begins. Booking 2–3 months in advance is ideal, as dates for Glade Spring, Washington County, Southwest Virginia, and Northeast Tennessee fill quickly.

What is required to reserve a date?

A $250 non-refundable retainer is required to secure your session date. This amount is applied toward your selected senior session.

What if I need to reschedule?

Life happens—we get it! If you need to reschedule your session, just let me know as soon as possible—ideally at least 72 hours in advance so we can find a new date that works.

• If you let me know the same day as your session, there is a $50 rescheduling fee, which I can waive if the situation seems legit.
• If you give me plenty of notice, there’s no fee.

Either way, I’ll work with you to make your session stress-free and full of photos you’ll love.

What is included in a senior session?

Your senior session includes a fully guided photography experience — from planning and styling guidance to your session day and final gallery delivery. Each session is designed to feel personalized, relaxed, and reflective of you.

What is the pre-session planning process?

We’ll plan your session together — discussing your overall vision, outfits, locations, and completing any required forms. This ensures everything feels organized and stress-free leading up to your session.

Where do sessions take place?

Sessions are held throughout Glade Spring, Washington County, Southwest Virginia, and parts of Northeast Tennessee, including Kingsport and Johnson City. We’ll select locations that fit your personality and the look you’re envisioning. Walkable areas count as one location. Some private locations may require a small access fee, which will always be discussed in advance.

What happens if it rains?

Rain in Southwest Virginia can be unpredictable, so we stay flexible! If the weather looks iffy:

• We can reschedule right away for a better day.
• If we both decide to go ahead with the session, we’ll do our best to make it work, and if we later need to reschedule, no fee applies.

*If I recommend rescheduling but you choose to go ahead and we later have to reschedule after the session has started, because of the weather, there is a $50 rescheduling fee. Either way, my goal is to make your session fun, stress-free, and full of photos you love.

What should I wear?

After booking, you’ll receive detailed styling guidance to help you choose outfits that photograph beautifully and feel authentic to you. I’m always happy to help you narrow down options.

Can I bring someone to my session?

Yes. Friends, pets, or meaningful props are welcome. If it’s important to you, we can incorporate it into your senior photos.

What about parents on session day?

You can relax — your senior is in good hands. I provide direction throughout the session so everything feels natural and comfortable, and all details are reviewed during the planning process.

When will we receive the images?

Your edited gallery will be delivered within approximately three weeks of your session. You’ll receive an online gallery where you will choose your included images with your session price. Once you've narrowed that down I will release them so that you can download images and order products. If you are ordering print products, your USB will be ordered and hand delivered together with them.

How many images will I receive?

The number of images depends on the session selected. Full details, including digital image counts and upgrade options, are outlined on the Investment page.

Are prints and albums required?

No—they’re completely optional. But I highly encourage them because your session isn’t just about digital files—it’s about a curated experience that creates heirloom-quality memories you can hold, display, and treasure for years. Every print and album is archive-quality, crafted to last, so your photos aren’t just seen—they’re experienced

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Payment plans are available for senior sessions and products. We can discuss options during booking to find what works best for your family.

What is the Darlin’ Blue Crew?

The Darlin’ Blue Crew is a senior rep team experience open to high school juniors in Glade Spring, Washington County, Southwest Virginia, and Northeast Tennessee. Members participate in additional styled shoots, group events, and exclusive opportunities throughout the year.
